It was in the land of the Britons where Ryu found himself one day lost. His tour group left him to his devices as he photographed the remnants of an old castle surrounded by thick forest. The castle said to belong to one Sir Ector was a huge establishment wherein the twenty-two year old found himself lost in the history and a peculiar sense of familiarity, deja vu maybe, associated with having been to this place before. There were curious glimpses of a past long forgotten, when the battlements stood strong and the walls were covered in decoration. At one point in his quest to find his way back to the group he found himself in a field where he saw an elderly man under a tree with a large pipe and long white hair under a pointed hat. As quickly as he saw the man, he was gone.
These bursts of memory came again and again until Ryu finally found himself at the tree, looking down at the figures sitting there, talking. They were specters of the past, the elderly man with the hat and a...a boy or a girl? Ryu couldn't tell.
The specters disappeared and Ryu found himself walking into the surrounding forest, not heeding the tour guide who had finally found him and called from the opposite end of the field.
It was later in the day when Ryu came across a lake, where he ended his quest and knelt to take a drink of the clear water. He then splashed some on his face. "Christ, what the hell am I doing here?" He looked at his reflection in the water and gasped, falling onto his ass as a woman's face broke the surface where he had taken his drink. She was a beautiful creature, though otherworldly. Like a nymph.
"Hast thou returned mine king?" Her eyes were wide, shocked by the mere presence of the man.
"King? No...I'm just lost."
"Fate hast brought you to me. I can see in thine eyes the knightliness I saw a myriad centuries past. The sword is back in mine possession. It hath returned to its stone."
Ryu started to laugh. "You think I'm King Arthur or something? You're saying you have Excalibur in this lake?" His smile spread even wider. "Dost thou jest?"
"I jest naught for I am the Lady of the Lake. And you are the reincarnation of the greatest king of these fine lands. I need not the sword to tell thus."
Those flashes of memory suddenly made sense to Ryu...
"So if I take the sword, will I become the king?"
The Lady of the Lake nodded. "Though the king has priorities at this time. A grail war takes place in the far off lands of the orientals. The king must fight for the grail. It is fate that truly hast brought you to me."
A grail war? Sounded pretty cool. Ryu stood and smiled at the nymph. "Bring me the sword."
The lake shook slightly as a rock floated to the surface, a sword protruding from it.
"To pull the sword from the stone is to become king." The Lady of the Lake muttered as Ryu grasped the hilt and placed his foot against the rock for leverage, pulling as hard as he could.
The sword slid from the stone and the world turned bright white. There was the tintinnabulation of bells ringing in Ryu's ears and the nymph proclaiming: "The king hath returned." This was followed by his hands holding the sword pulsing with some heat that made his fingers skinny. His arms lost their muscle and the hair disappeared.
Ryu didn't really notice this though, as he was in a state of extreme power, the sword filling him with energy. He did not feel his shoulders crash together, nor his neck slenderize.
What he did feel was his body bend into a convex shape and his clothes shred away to nothing as if he were hit by an atom bomb. He was floating in the air, naked and bent back as his chest grew two medium breasts, his nipples hardening. His stomach flattened and hardened, his back became that of a slender girl, as did his curves.
While power continued to course through his body, he looked down at his changing body with shock. "Arturias Pendragon..."
The Lady of the Lake spoke. "Was a female. Of course, to be king you could not be a female, she would have been killed long before she could even take the throne before the knights would allow a woman to take kingship."
His legs slenderized, his feet also becoming smaller. His hips expanded and he felt his penis and balls disappear, leaving behind a tight, pink flower.
"W...what the hell? This isn't what was supposed to happen!"
"My king will grow to enjoy it!"
Ryu's face finally changed, and his voice too. As his skull shape changed, his nose and mouth becoming feminine, his short black hair becoming medium length blond, he groaned, those groans becoming those of a woman by the time his face had finished it's change. His eyes remained the same steely green.
"It's important to look a knight!" The Lady of the Lake spoke as a tight blue and gold dress formed around Ryu's naked body, blossoming out at the bottom. White frills at the bottom seemed almost razor like. There was enough room for cleavage to show through. The dress felt especially good against his naked belly and arms, where it was tightest.
Beneath his dress formed a pair of bloomers and beneath those were white stockings.
His hair formed itself into a bun and a blue ribbon tied it.
And then came the memories. Thousands of memories of Merlyn and Kay and battle and the knights of the round table. During this explosion of memories, armor appeared on her body, plate steel upon her legs and arms, around her stomach and on the side of her legs.
"Good luck my king." Was the last thing Ryu would hear as the memories and thoughts of Arturias Pendragon overtook his. King Arthur, now known as Saber, closed her eyes and opened them upon the scene of a church.
A man carried the sigil bearing her command spells. She finally made her entrance in the grail war.
"I am Saber." She said, "King of Knights."

Reincarnation (A SAO TG)
It's amazing how fast a small blade can completely take someone's life. He was so close. He had done everything to earn his happy ending. The Fifth Holy Grail War, Round Two (TG)
Gilgamesh howled with rage. He had been denied what was his. Several long years he had waited with that damned priest and he had been denied his prize at the very last moment. His body disintegrated and he dematerialized back to the Throne of Heroes.
He found himself in a void. He waited for the void to fill him, to return him to an abstract state of nothing and potential, but it never came. Gilgamesh was not a patient demigod even at the best of times, so he roared with a commanding voice, “Corrupted chalice! Return me to nothing! Get on with it!”
A smile appeared in the void. No, to call it a smile wasn’t quite right. It
